AI clipper for Kick streams
ClipClap can clip Kick streams: paste a Kick VOD link or upload the recording, and it returns vertical 9:16 clips with burned-in subtitles. Link import uses yt-dlp, which has a Kick extractor; if a Kick link ever fails to import, downloading the VOD and uploading the file always works.

How do I clip a Kick VOD?
Copy the link of the past broadcast, send it to ClipClap in the browser or in @clipclapio_bot, optionally pick the part you want, and review the clips. The clips come back as vertical 9:16 video files with subtitles and no watermark, ready to post from your own accounts.
- Copy the VOD link. Use the past-broadcast link, which looks like kick.com/channel/videos/..., from the Kick site or app.
- Send it to ClipClap. Paste it into the website or into @clipclapio_bot on Telegram.
- Pick the part you want. For a long stream choose a start and an end. Paid plans can pick up to 3 hours.
- Review the clips. Each clip is 9:16 with subtitles and no watermark. Download the ones you will post.
Does Kick link import actually work?
Sometimes. Kick links go through the same importer as YouTube, Twitch and TikTok, and nothing in it is Kick-specific. A Kick VOD can fail to import when Kick tightens its bot protection, so treat the link route as likely to work and the file route as certain.
On 2026-10-03 we resolved a live Kick channel through our own download path, and its VOD lookup reached Kick's API and got a normal not-found for a test ID, not a block. The importer runs without the browser-impersonation add-on that yt-dlp mentions for Kick, which is why a block remains possible.
That is why the file route is the dependable one: save the VOD from Kick, then upload it. Uploads accept files up to 2 GB.
What are the limits for Kick clips?
Paid plans take up to 3 hours per source and 2 GB per file, from €3.99 ($4.49) a week.
- Subscriber-only or deleted VODs cannot be imported by link.
- ClipClap prepares clips and does not post them.
- The source or the picked range must be at least 60 seconds.
How does ClipClap choose moments on a stream?
It transcribes the stream and picks passages that make sense on their own: a reaction with its cause, a story, a rant with its end. Selection follows the speech, not the chat or the volume of the audio, so a silent play with no talk can be missed. Stream selection is harder than a podcast, so expect to discard some clips.
What should I check in a Kick clip before posting?
Look at the first second, to see that the clip opens on the setup and not mid-sentence. Check that the webcam and the game are both visible when both matter, and that usernames and game terms are spelled correctly in the subtitles. Then download only the clips you would be happy to post under your own name.
What else should I know before clipping Kick streams?
- Does ClipClap support Kick links?
- It tries them through yt-dlp's Kick extractor and we have seen Kick respond to it, but we do not promise every Kick link imports. Uploading the file is the guaranteed route, within the file size limit, and works the same way as it does for any other source.
- Can it clip a live Kick stream while it is running?
- Not as a live feature. Wait for the VOD to appear after the stream ends, then send it. ClipClap works on finished recordings, so you need either the past-broadcast link from the channel page or the saved file, and then you can clip it from your phone or browser.
- Is the output sized for TikTok and Reels?
- Yes, every clip is 9:16 with burned-in subtitles, the shape TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts expect. The crop follows the speaker, and a stream with a webcam inset keeps the webcam in frame. Check the framing of each clip, as fast gameplay can confuse the crop.
- Does it work from a phone?
- Yes, through the Telegram bot or the mobile site. Open @clipclapio_bot, paste the VOD link and the clips arrive in the chat. The same account works in the browser, so you can also review the clips on a larger screen later.
Paid plans start at €3.99 ($4.49) a week, and the first week is €1.99 ($2.29) for new customers.
