Reka Clip alternative: Reka Clip closes on November 13, 2026
Reka Clip is shutting down: the last day of access is November 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, new sign-ups are already closed, and unused purchased credits will not be refunded. Reka does not name a replacement. ClipClap does the core job Reka Clip did - paste a long video, get vertical clips with subtitles - and costs €1.99 ($2.29) for the first week, then €3.99 ($4.49) a week.
When does Reka Clip shut down?
Reka's shutdown notice says "We're winding down Reka Clip" and gives the last day of access as November 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The banner on creator.reka.ai repeats the date. The notice does not say when it was posted.
- New registrations are closed.
- Subscriptions no longer renew. A monthly plan ends with its current billing period.
- Annual subscribers with eligible payments may get a prorated refund for unused paid time; the notice does not confirm individual cases.
- Purchased credits can be used until they expire or the service closes, whichever comes first. Unused purchased credits will not be refunded.
- Promotional credit grants have ended.
- Existing users can still sign in and reach their videos until the closure, even with no credits or plan left.
What should I do before November 13?
- Download your clips. After the closure the videos go with the service. Save every clip you still want to post, and the source files if Reka holds the only copy.
- Spend purchased credits. They are not refunded, so run the videos you were planning to clip while you still can.
- Pick the replacement before you need it. Test the next tool on one of your own videos now, so your posting schedule does not stop on November 14.
How does ClipClap compare with Reka Clip?
Both take a long video and return short vertical clips with subtitles. The table lists what Reka's own site described and what ClipClap does. Reka Clip had features ClipClap does not, and the reverse is also true.

What will I miss coming from Reka Clip?
ClipClap does not watch a YouTube channel and clip new uploads by itself: you paste a link or upload a file each time. It only renders vertical 9:16 clips, has no chat-based editing, and does not add music, sound effects or memes. It does not post to your accounts or schedule posts either. If one of those was your main reason for using Reka Clip, test that part elsewhere before you switch.
How do I move my workflow to ClipClap?
- Start with one video. Paste the link of a stream or podcast you would have sent to Reka Clip, or upload the file. Clips come back with subtitles in a few minutes, on the web or in the Telegram bot.
- Choose the layout. Streams get the webcam above the gameplay; interviews get both speakers; one-speaker clips can play over background gameplay.
- Check, then scale. Watch the clips before you post. If a moment is off, ask for a re-cut. Weekly billing means you are not locked into a year.
